Keeping Your "Fake" Jewellery

Hi all~

Since this month's featured jewellery is not made by pure silver, I would like to take time to teach you guys on how to maintain them. Of course, this is not only bound to this month's feature, it could also be used on any other fake jewellery you have.

Most likely some of you guys have been facing the problems below:

  1. Skin in contact with the fake jewellery turns either to green or grey.
  2. Skin in contact with the fake jewellery becomes itchy.
  3. The worst of all, that green and grey thingy can't be washed off and it stayed on your skin for a while.

So then, what should we do? Throw them away after you have just worn them for a while?

The answer is simple. All you have to do is:

  1. Purchase a bottle of clear nail polish from any store (pasar malam, elianto, etc.) nearby.
  2. Apply the clear nail polish all over the jewellery that will be in contact with your skin.
  3. Apply the clear nail polish once a week or when the nail polish wear off.

By doing so, you could avoid throwing your fake jewellery away, but you could also keep them for a long long time.

Lastly, never ever swim or bath with any of your jewellery no matter it is real or fake because it will speed off the process of decolouration. Take them off when you know they will be in contact with water.

Will attach some photos when there's time. For now, Ciao~

Lovely Adornment
